The Metal Muses
Low level alchemists are known far and wide in the realms but higher level ones are nearly non-existent. The supplies needed for alchemy often go beyond the financial means of most individuals. Furthermore, large alchemy labs or machines will undoubtably be discovered during Shet’zen raids.
Because magic is woven into the very fabric of existence, the divine power of druids was able to survive the great purging of the gods. However, their magic has become somewhat less stable. Furthermore, druids are hunted ruthlessly by the Shet’zen. All druid spells are subject to instability. Additionally, parties with a druid will have a much more difficult time traveling in urban settings and remaining unnoticed
The Magus are the last remnants of the wizard community. When the purge happened, many apprentices began intense training. This class is rare because the vast majority of wizardry tomes were seized or destroyed by the Shet’zen during the magic purge. As a result, it is difficult to acquire the necessary training and supplies required to be a magus. As a result, this class is more likely to be multi-classed with other martial classes. Similar to the druid, the possession of magical abilities will put a target on the heads of a party with a magus.
Oracles occasionally appear but given the popularity of such seers, they are often discovered by the Shet’zen after a short while. As with other magical classes, they bring more danger upon their companions. Oracles may use Charisma rather than Wisdom. This choice must be made at first level.
Sorcerers are not unheard of but they are hunted ruthlessly by the Shet’zen. The presence of a sorcerer in a party will significantly increase the difficulty of the game in most settings.
Given the nature of folk magic, many of the slave races have learned to summon powerful creatures for aid. This class only has access to the First Worlder and Master Summoner Archetypes
Witches actually tend to be relatively common given their secretive nature. Although it is still difficult to train as a witch, they are likely the most common magical class next to the bard. As with other magical classes, they may bring undue hardship upon their companions, but they are the most likely to evade detection by Shet’zen raids
