They also gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against such spells. •Members of this race take no damage from falling (as if subject to a constant nonmagical feather fall spell). While in midair, members of this race can move up to 5 feet in any horizontal direction for every 1 foot they fall, at a speed of 60 feet per round. A member of a race with gliding wings cannot height with these wings alone;
it merely coasts in other directions as it falls. If subjected to a strong wind or any other effect that causes a creature with gliding wings to rise, it can take advantage of the updraft to increase the distance it can glide.
When a Stric reaches 5 Hit Dice, she becomes able to fly at a speed of 30 feet . A Stric can’t fly while carrying a medium or heavy load or while fatigued or exhausted.
Stric can safely fly for a number of rounds equal to their Constitution modifier (minimum 1 round). They can exert themselves to fly for up to twice as long, but then they’re fatigued at the end of the flight. Stric are likewise fatigued after spending a total of more than 10 minutes per day flying. Because Stric can glide before, after, and between rounds of actual flight, they can remain aloft for extended periods (even
if they can only use flight for 1 round at a time without becoming fatigued).
When they reach 10 Hit Dice, Stric have enough stamina and prowess to fly for longer periods. They can fly at a speed of 40 feet, and flying
requires no more exertion than walking or running.
•Prerequisites: None; Benefit: Members of this race receive two claw attacks. These are primary natural attacks. The damage is based on the creature’s size (Bestiary 302).
A Stric character gains a single racial hit die (D8) and 2+(int) skill points. It has a +1 level adjustment.
